HR 6975- The Jihad Prevention Act: Interesting But Not Need

A few weeks past I posted on the legalization of Sharia Law in the UK. In response HR 6975 was submitted. I honestly think it is a poor bill. Not because of the purpose, but the fact it gives little credit to the US system. In the US we do not suppress opinions, we invite them and prove them to be stupid. That is a lot more fun. We are guaranteed the separation of church and state. Thank god. The USA will never be a Islamic state, nor shall it ever allow any of it’s citizens to be judged by laws, Civil or Criminal, not enacted by the populace. Maybe they should set their eyes on Canada though. Here is the Bill. You decide. (special thanks to Right Think for bringing this to my attention)

  1. Interesting approach to the wave of what amounts to a fifth column type agenda by Muslims with money sending people here.

Perhaps the obvious is too simple: do not allow them in.

  2. I prefer just handing them a plate of tasty bacon, and an Escalade. That seems to do the trick with the Muslims I know.

  3. Muslims Against Sharia praise Congressman Tancredo’s initiative. We advocated similar measures in the past and fully support “Gihad Prevention Act”

“Any person from a country where a substantial part of the population is pro-Sharia should not be allowed in the West, not only as an immigrant, but even as a visitor with a few exceptions, i.e., political asylum or as a diplomat etc. … Every legal immigrant should be allowed to stay only if he/she did not display desire to establish a Sharia state in a host country. Any naturalized citizen who displays a desire to establish a Sharia state in a host country should have his/her citizenship revoked and promptly deported. I think the latter two groups is where the real danger lies.” Linda Ahmed, FrontPage Magazine, July 24, 2008

“Anyone who proclaims Islamic extremist views should be tried for sedition, since we are at war with radical Islam, or at the very least, promptly deported.” Khalim Massoud, FrontPage Magazine, September 9, 2008

  4. Muslims have trouble adapting to new cultures. Part of this problem is the ridigity of Islam itself. If someone is comfortable with strict social rules, then to enter a culture like ours would look to them like everyone is always breaking all the rules. In other words, anarchy. No wonder trouble results so often.

It bothers me that Islam has so many restrictions upon behavior in general, yet is very lax in excuses to wage war and to kill.

  5. In large states public education will always be mediocre, for the same reason that in large kitchens the cooking is usually bad.FriedrichWilhelmNietzscheFriedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche

  6. what about ppl who convert to islam and children of muslim immigrants who are not naturalized citizens? What if they start asking for shariah Law. Will they be jailed or punished?

There is no place for Shariah Law in this country.

  7. Thanks for the link! I hope your right that we don’t really need this law, but even though it may not be needed now, it may be a good idea to have it passed anyway just in case.

  8. No Rivka, thank you. The more I read on this guy the more I like him. The law, I would also hope, would never be necessary. The constitution is strong enough t handle this one I think.

  9. How about now…..does snyone think we don’t need this law? Shariah Law is everywhere in the US……….

  10. Sorry for the post to an old blog but in light of our last 9 months of leadership and the upcoming Islamic Rally event planned in DC.

Do you have the same feeling about security with our protection of the US Constitution? If Sharia Law became recognized by Obama, would it surprise any of you that certain Islamic tradition such genital mutilation might be covered by the taxpayer under “Health Care Reform” if our current administration is willing to publicly fund abortion with our money?

  11. It is now 2010 and we have seen what loose legislation has done in the UK as well as the Judge(s) in America honoring Sharia law. what do you think about this bill today?
